LEADING LIGHT COLLECTIVE
Leading Light is an award winning, female led arts collective who have made some serous waves within the industry in an incredibly short space of time.
Celebrating their 3rd birthday this year, the group have already garnered an exciting reputation for creating theatrical productions and events which raise awareness for the unspoken subjects revolving around young adults in our modern society. Not only giving them a voice within the community, but allowing them to regain the confidence to be heard.
We spoke with Artistic Director Belinda Clarke and Producer Hannah Blair to find out what makes the collective 'tick' and what exciting projects are on the horizon.

...and what of the inspiration behind the inception of the collective:
“There is a pressure of feeling the need to fit in within society. Our objective is to find these voices and give them the strength to learn, grow and conquer.”
Originally a trained theatre maker, Artistic Director Belinda Clarke began her career studying Acting at Bath Spa University and is currently studying Creative Producing at Mountview School Of Arts. She also won a 'Best New Writing Award' at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival for her play Memories We Lost in the Fire.

MIND OVER MATTER are an independent project which breaks down stigma and widens the conversation around mental health by discussing it through spoken word poetry, hip hop, and song.
