MATT DAMON loses it with reporter. Ouch!

As keynote speaker at a two day Save Our Schools march in Washington DC, MATT DAMON, whos mother is a teacher, was cornered by a reporter and cameraman intent on pushing the view that teachers have no incentive to work hard, drawing a comparison to the acting profession where job insecurity serves as a great motivator.

Rule number 1: Don’t mess with Matt Damon

“You think job insecurity is what makes me work hard?”

“I WANT to be an actor, (job insecurity) it’s not an incentive”

“It’s the problem with ed policy right now, this intrinsically paternalistic view of problems that are much more complex than that. It’s like saying a teacher is going to get lazy when they have tenure. A teacher wants to teach. I mean, why else would you take a shitty salary and really long hours and do that job unless you really love to do it?”
